txmav you are reef nuts and thats great, we need more pasionate people like you, and dont worry i think we all understand how addictive this hobby is, i picked up a 12g jbj with only kenyi trees in feb found maast a month or 2 later, and 4 biocubes later almost every light option to use now a 65 rr with hqi, im still thinking bigger. i might have bill bring me some frags sunday if hes available.

It is addictive, just look what has happened to me......think I have maxed out with the three tanks at home and the store...........but I have thought that before.

You chose a good SPS to start with. Montipora digitata is one of the easier SPS to keep and they are fast growers. I think you'll be pleased!

I guess I'll join the fray and hope I don't get blasted. I'm James, one of the owners of GCR. We have great LFS's and great LFS owners here in Corpus Christi, Texas. Erik/Sherry and the Tropical Fish Haven bunch have always been nice and helpful. I still do business with both because there are times when you JUST have to go out and get something for the system.

We pay for this sponsorship forum and I was under the impression folks could use that venue to discuss vendors. if this is not the case please let us know.

I DO consider myself still new to the hobby and still very enthusiastic. My tank is looking great these days but still seems to be turning over. Some things do great and others wane a bit. We accuse drmark of "using an illegal substance, banned by the league" on his SPS tanks. I still don't get how he does it but I'm just glad he does.

These forums are like communicating by email in that folks will say things in an email they may not say in person, so i find them very useful.

If you haven't ever stopped in to GCR and seen the store, make plans to do so. We're open Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 until 5:30. If anyone is in town during the week we are there every weekday but just not on a very regular schedule. We have tons of clown babies we're rearing and more eggs coming off on Halloween night. Imagine that, babies that are orange, black and white born on 10/31. Anyway, just wanted to plug our little aquaculture business.
