Dude, I can't carry a strumming tune to save my life, but if you want I have about three or four scales I've memorized that I can teach you. Two of them came from "guitars for dummies" (pst! I think I'm the dummy). I like the finger picking and for awhile even grew out my right hand finger nails... of course that was a few years ago before the gray started coming in.

I can also teach you the opening riff for Tesla's "Love Song" which really sounds cool. I wanted to try it on a the 12 string but never had the chance. I'd have to start reworking my calluses though.

Tabcrawler dot com is where I really spent a lot of time learning, but if you get the chance to learn to read music I think you'll be better off.
