    Default Ideas for timers?

    Does anyone have ideas/suggestions for a timer to run 2, 250w MH?

    i know for a fact that the wal mart "brick" digital timers wont work .... well i use the one that had for 2 plugs in one and it drew to much current to work i guess

    I went through 2 exchanges (total of 3 !! ) coralife dual timers. Worst part is they didn't last a month before I went through all 3. One right after the other. Started using a Brinks (not digital) from walmart $5 and a $3 unkown from target and they are dependable and maintenance free. Wish I could say the same for the $40 timer. Live and learn

    Timers are a toss up. Always buy more than you need you never know when you will find a great set.

    we use simple timers from lowes...think like 4 bux...they work great...

    Yeah but not 3prong like he/she will need like me josh. i do it manually now I am the TIMER
    90g mixed reef, 12g nano, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 ferrets.
    Driving the wife crazy.......PRICELESS.

    my bad...those are 2 prong....the one we have running on the 37 and 110 now is a timer/surge protector we got at a hardware store for 10 bux....

    are you talking about the 8 plug one ??? if so those things suck .... i dont know why fish stores sell them

    im pretty sure they make a 3 prong one ... i was doing it like you for a long while but i finally got times and im glad i did

    Timers are great. I use the digital double prong Brinks from Walmart and it's been great for a long while now.
