actually....they were they color of the rock early on,...an orangish/red color.....picked up a blue hue, then eyes became noticeable, and then the silver...it is a progression that coincides with development......I would have never noticed them at first had the male not been messing around and acting different than normal...upon further investigation, they were eggs....
They hatched last nite...pretty good hatch...started about 1 1/2 hours after lights out, lasted about an hour or so......I turned off all pumps and beakered out the larvae, placed them into a 10 gal tank set up with aeration and heater, with 5 gal of new seawater that matched orginal tank parameters and 5 gal of tank water....feeding Algamac enriched rotifers......fingers crossed
