The new version of norton internet security is superior to past software from the company. In fact it is ranked the best of the all-in-one packages by Maximum PC magazine. I stopped using Norton for a long time because it was such a resource hog. Instead I used AVG for a few years until just recently.

Who is your internet provider? Some of them provide free anitvirus protection...I have att and they use mcafee. You might want to check if your internet provides it before you purchase anything.
