    when i turn off my lights these little slugs or snails come out. they are very small about a quarter inch, noticed them on my glass the also noptice them on my corals. they have what looks like orangish feathers or petals on there back. need toknow what they are and if they are bad. when i see them i pull them out. if i can get a pic of them i will post it. thanks for your help.

    If these are the small snails you are asking about they are Collonista snails also know as "mini turbo" snails. They only get about 1/4" in size and I have several in my tank. They only come out at night.

    that are more colorful and when i kill them there is no shell. i will try and get a pic soon

    camera was acting up this morning but the best way to describ it is it looks like a zoa that is just about to open. once the light goes on they run to go hide so its tricky to get a pics of them

    Really sounding more and more like the zoanthid eating nudibranch. Have you checked out the recent thread that mbender mentioned above? "Nudibranch?"

    thats exactly what they are! so the fresh water dip will kill them. how often do i do the dip? once a week?

    i had to do it everyday jus to be safe...thered be days where nothing came off then suddenly there would be some....so i mean if u want and have the time to do it....wouldnt hurt to do it everyday....like u said they dont like strong light...so look on the underside of the rock your zoas are on....
