correct, the larger tank has to be filled less often. I tapped my return line to feed the calcium reactor.I think the best way to feed a kalk reactor is thru your ato.I took my kalk reactor off line shortly after I got my calcium reactor. once I figured out the calcium reactor my levels stayed consistant so it wasnt necessary any more
if you are talking about a dual chamber calcium reactor, the second chamber is to scrubb off some of the co2 in the effluent so it is less likely to lower the tanks ph. I do not run a dual chamber reactor and am pretty aggressive with the co2 and flow rate. So ph drop has not been an issue for me
