    My two cents...

I went by there on Friday and I have to say I was very impressed. Like Mr. Cob, I had not been there in like a year but I immediately noticed how much it had changed. The folks were VERY nice and polite. I was there right as they were unboxing their shipment of saltwater fish so I got to see what all they can get in and at what prices. It was very clean and the girl behind the counter with the glasses was really cute too.

    Nice job!

We have a better selection of corals than we have had in recent years. We have giant clams for 30 bucks. Plus we have a bamboo shark and a stingray. You should stop by soon.

Yeah I noticed you were on here! Last time I went was July 31st?
I believe I went once on the last Tuesday of July then again Friday.
I saw that bamboo shark egg! Craziness!
Alamo Aquatics is always on my list of places to go when I travel up to S.A.

I go by there from time to time and personally I'm not impressed. I've been told, and heard other told, stuff that was flat wrong just to make the sale. I've heard staff members describe their personal tanks...and a week later hear a totally different story from the same person. I do like their selection of fish, but as everyone should...do your own research...don't rely on them to know the answers!

I agree with tim, that newbie's should be on guard. I can see that the owner is trying to be more competetive, though.

Note: I have not been back by since February, and when I did go by it had been over a year since I was last there and I have to say that there was a HUGE improvement from when I was last there.

That is what this thread was about. The improvements this shop has made.

some people know stuff some dont i have been there and ask things and they may have no clue one might try to BS me but you can tell ( for the most part 60% of the stores are like this every one wants a sell )

always do some research before getting/buying something that's what i have learned esp. with lights lol

they do stock a lot of stuff i will say that

I went there in a pinch needing some salt about 4 months ago. They were in the middle of changing the store around it seemed. Didn't have a good selection of corals and what were there were covered in bubble aglae and aptasia. Had a few fish that were decent, but only bought the salt that day.
