Default River rocks in FW tank?

All, after a vacation at the Frio river last weekend I collected a bunch of neat looking medium size river rocks from the Frio river. All of these rocks were collected from the river bed, not the surrounding dirt, etc. I placed them outside for 3 days to "cook" in the sun, I then soaked them in a 50% bleach solution for 1 day. I then scrubbed them, cleaned them, soaked them in a few normal baths of H20 and Chlorine remover. I am then going to "cook" them outside in the sun for another few days. Once done, can I safely place these in my freshwater tank? This tank is nothing spiffy, just houses some tetras, plecos, ruby noses, etc. My son though loves the rocks and wants to add them as decoration?

    Any thoughts or concerns?

Depends on what the rock is made of. Look for any mineral / metal deposits in the rock.

I don't see any deposits. They are all just what I call normal river rock, some with a bunch of holes in it. All of them are brownish/tan color. I'm just concerned since I "think" they are the typical limestone or dolomite they will mess with the PH too much for a non-Chiclid tank.

if they are "holey rock" yes will buffer water a lil just test, you would of been good just sun cooking or boiling them then sun drying a couple days. i did cichlids for many years before the reef addiction
