    Default Lighting Schedule

Well I am finally up and running. I have a 20 long with 2 koralia 1's, 150w MH, and a 10g sump. I got base rock from reefcleaners and seeded with a little bit of rubble from my sisters tank.

Last weekend I got 3-20 head frags of zoas. I have been running the light for about 6 hours each day and the sump light for 12. Is this a good lighting schedule?

Some people run the fuge/sump light on opposite schedule of the display in order to keep the tanks levels a little more balanced. I think it is more for ph but I also do it to keep my temp pretty level. It stays about 81 degrees.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I will slowly extend the amount of time the halide is on. I have been running it from around 12:30-9pm. I turn he sump light on around 7pm and off around 9am.

I wouldnt light your tank for any longer than 10hrs. with your MH so you dont raise your tank temp too much. But you are on the right track with the fuge light coming on about 1 hr. before the DT lights go out.
