    freshwater is for drinking
and in terms of saltwater it can be defined as water with less than 500 parts per million (ppm) of dissolved salts. ;-)

Freshwater forum? Then we'll need a dog forum, a cat forum, a reptile forum . . . . . .After all that, we'll have to change the name of the club from MARINE AQUARIST Association of South Texas to the MISCELLANEOUS and ANYTHING Association of South Texas.

Rant? Were we supposed to rant on something? Let me do a few stretches first so I don't pull a muscle! LOL

The freshwater thing has been asked many a times. I started in freshwater and currently that's all I've got running right now as I decided to spend my money a different hobby. Still fighting the itch to start up a new salt tank though! I know a lot of people here started with freshwater too and many still have tanks. Personally I'd rather keep the discussion to the lounge than create a forum for it here on MAAST. I have a hard enough time keeping up with the numerous other forums that have blown up the main page.

Just have a little 29g tank setup right now. Seems to be a great source of hair algae if anyone needs some!
