MP4 Editor
I thought this post would go in the photography forum, but I can't post there just yet, so I'll post it here...
So, I got a new Sony point & shoot camera, and it's real awesome. It does HD video, but the file format is MP4. My old camera filmed its standard-definition video in AVI. AVI was great because Windows recognized it, and I could edit, cut, and paste the videos in Windows Movie Maker. MP4 is not native to Windows, and Windows Movie Maker does not know what to do with MP4's. I can play them in VLC player, but how can I edit these vids in Vista?
Don't say get a Mac.

Anyone have experience with Avidemux? Does it have video transitions like Windows Movie Maker?
PS: gotta show off the camera play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycViw...&index=31&hd=1

Convert it to a Windows format? I've had good luck with Free Video Converter V2.0 by Keyote.
-and/or-
maybe try finding a codec that will play MP4 in windows. I've found CCCP : The Combined Community Codec Pack to have a lot of the codec needed, and it's free.
