Refugium size recommendation?
Hey, I am currently planning out my 75 gallon build and was curious what size of refugium I should use? I am limited by the space underneathy my stand, but was wondering if a 20 long would be sufficient or if I should try and fit a bigger tank. I would like to do the DIY route rather than spend a bunch of money on an acrylic one. If anyone has any recommendations and or used tank they would like to sell me just let me know. Thanks.

I believe a 20 long would work ok, ideally, the larger the better. Many people use regular tanks as fuges so that shouldnt be a problem at all.

Anybody have a 30 gallon long tank they would want to sell me? I'm going to be coming through SA on Sunday.

I would put the biggest you can fit without making it to crowded.

Exactly what they said. My sump is the same if not larger than my tank, but mine sits in the garage so space isn't really a problem.

Well I did some more measuring and found out that the largest tank I can get into my stand is going to me either a 20 long or a standard size 29. So I think I am going to go with the 29 for the extra height so I can get a bit more water volume so I can handle extra water from the tank in the event of a power failure.
