    I agree with Tony. I have an SX110 and it does fairly well You won't be able to get the amazing shots that you get with a Canon or Nikon DSLR, but if you learn to work the camera, you can get some pretty good shots. I'd check Craigslist or eBay, if you are comfortable there.

    do you know the name of the palys in the second picture? i have them alot of them but dont know what kind they are. they grow faster than anything i have ever had in my tank

    best thing is dont be afraid to play. too many people look at every shot and decide to keep or delete it right then. out of every 100 shots you take 10-15 should be keepers. the beauty of digital is nothing lost.

    look for a dslr...will get great pics...and you have total control over how your picture will turn out...i spent 250 for a canon xti. its 10.1 mp go to amazon and look for a amazon store called adorama camera
