Mine don't look so good either. I've tried these blue zoas (AOI, blue hornet, etc) from Africa or Caribbea or whereever; they don't seem to last long. Hope others have better luck.

I also got some blue hornets and some pink stardust ladies and they have not opened up yet. Luckily for me they have not melted away yet.

I did put them in a higher flow area in my frag tank to help encourage them to open up.

ReeferMadness512, blindside, and clamgal: Did you have yours in a high flow area?

Other than the flow, I could not find anything else that could help encourage them to open up. So, I am going to be patient.

But I would be open to some more advice.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that one polyp of each survive.

It's important that everyone knows that these colonies are found in very shallow water, and in high surge zones. We have been very successful keeping them open and thriving by providing them with high flow, and moderate lighting. Definitely the high flow is the key to these gems, so please take care of them appropriately and pass this message onto your customers.
