Question need ideas on light setup

Since I decided to keep my setup, I am going to "redesign" it. I will replace plumbing, lower my return lines (so they don't stick out), tweek my aquascaping, and get rid of my canopy. I have a 36" retrofit, and I want to build a slim case for it. I want an open top so I need ideas on how to "hang" it. I cannot hang it from the ceiling because it is a 2 story ceiling. Anyone with ideas on how to do this please post reply or pics.
    Thanks,
    Adriana

You can build a rack that comes up ad over from the back out of EMT conduit. Cpreefguy built one for his. It is pretty simple but very effective. All you need is 2 10' pieces of conduit and a bender. I'll see what I can do to help...

no there is no welding involved, you can get 90* long radiusfor the bends if
you dont have a conduit bender but you will have 2 compression fittings on each radius all can be bought at Lowe's

also forgot to mention the clamps can be secured to the back of the stand
1 high and 1low on each side for maximum stability

there is 1/2 and 3/4 inch conduit straps some have 1 eye you want the one with 2 eyes
I think the 3/4 inch will work better for you so you would get the 3/4 EMT conduit along with 4 90* radius 4 or even 6 clamps and 3 10' 3/4 EMT to be safe you could always take back what you don't use also a hand full of 1-1/2" wood screws oh and 8 3/4 EMT connectors
now EMT is made to withstand weather I don't know how it will do with the saltwater. call if you need help 210-630-2774 you will also need a tubing cutter
