Remember the movie “steel magnolias”? You could use fireworks, unless that is what you meant by firepower. (I thought you meant a gun) It won’t kill them but it would be fun!! I agree with the CD’s in the tree, I think it would bother them.

LOL. Cut down a tree just to get rid of a few birds? Nice. If we all kept that mentality I wonder how many trees would be left. Once the trees were gone, where would the birds perch......on the house maybe? And then what?

The flashlight at night does work. The company I work for has a very large corporate office building that used to have HUGE amounts of birds chilling in the trees. The building manager hired a guy that comes around every night about 9pm with an ungodly bright flashlight and shines it up in all the trees. He also uses a water hose and power nozzle to break nests apart to keep the birds from hanging around. I can honestly say this approach works but I'm sure you'll hear from people how horrible it is to destroy nests and so on.

    Firecrackers.
Might have to do it a few times so they take the hint.

The SA Parks & Rec use some sort of whistle gun that shoots a cartridge that produces a lound noise. Works well to disperse the black birds downtown. Not sure where you would go about getting something like that though.

You could try fireworks, but if you are located in San Antonio, they are illegal....

CD's. my grandmother had a problema with birds and that was the ultimate solution. Otherwise call a pest control company and specify the bird type. They have a product that you can feed the birds that makes them "feel drunk" as it was described to me.

I had a problem with doves. They found where I kept the dog feeder. It was one of those that holds several weeks worth of food and drops more down as it gets eaten. The doves would come in by the dozens and the stupid dogs just watched (probably laughing at me!) while the doves would eat 30 pounds of dog food in a day.
I bought a fake owl from Walmart and stuck him on top of the dog feeder and they never noticed or cared.
I don't thinks the owls work if they don't move. Some have a head that turns with the wind.
I ended up using a BB gun, ate dove for several weeks......Mmmm, Mmmmmm, good. But, I lived in the country and didn't resort to the BB gun until I had tried the owl for several weeks.
btw: A dead dove next to the feeder is a very effective deterent. Scares them off.

You know they are nesting, so they probably have eggs or chicks. We have a nest on our TV antenna, we are waiting till the babies fly. If you must, how about just cutting the branch they are on?
My husband did not like my idea for the two rousting over his truck.
He took a more permanent approach, waited until after dark as a plane flew past to cover the sound (not directly in the line of fire). One blast of the shot gun and all we had left was a shower of leaves, never even saw a feather.

Yea, remember the old cartoons with the X's over the eyes as the bird floats up into the clouds. We had a clear visual.
O, yea! now the right ear!

Trust me the thought of shooting these rats with wings with my .40 with rat shot has crossed my mind and BBQ the little suckers. Little bacon for wrap and mmmmmmmmmmm.
