LOL. Cut down a tree just to get rid of a few birds? Nice. If we all kept that mentality I wonder how many trees would be left. Once the trees were gone, where would the birds perch......on the house maybe? And then what?

The flashlight at night does work. The company I work for has a very large corporate office building that used to have HUGE amounts of birds chilling in the trees. The building manager hired a guy that comes around every night about 9pm with an ungodly bright flashlight and shines it up in all the trees. He also uses a water hose and power nozzle to break nests apart to keep the birds from hanging around. I can honestly say this approach works but I'm sure you'll hear from people how horrible it is to destroy nests and so on.
