Man my AC started acting up while I was at work on Friday. It was 84 degrees inside, and with a fan blowing across my tank was reading 82. I immediately turned off the MH lights and wondered what I was to do if it needed service since I had to work early Saturday the next morning. Luckily it stayed cooler Saturday since the weather was raining, but I could not get it fixed till late that evening. My son told me it still hit 80 in the house. I think I got ripped off with the AC repair since he changed out the fan and the thing still did not run. I dont think anything was wrong with the fan because as soon as he changed this capacitor looking thing it started working. The worst part about it was that I was trying to make the next MAAST meeting to maybe purchase some stuff while in Austin but now have zero bucks. I guess its Gods way of telling me I have too much in the tank already. Well if my wife gets back early from a trip to Dallas (which I was supposed to be at) I may still be able to make the meeting with my pockets hanging out.

advice is free.. with that said Capacitor shouldnt cost more than 50 bucks motor on the other can run you as much as 500 bucks retail price of course added to that Companies
will add a trip fee around 35 bucks diagnostic fee if no repair is done usually around 50 bucks, then you check refrigerant levels if you need or haven't had your A/C serviced in awhile you may need to have your condensing unit (outside unit) washed to get all the dirt out of the coils another 50 bucks 1st lbs of refrigerant 75 bucks +/- additional 25+/-
so as you can see it gets expensive fast. so it is good to keep on top of your A/C systems at least once a year twice preferably , one for A/C the other for HEATING. So call your A/C & Heating Company and get it done... REMEMBER .... MURPHY'S LAW...
all together know.... WHAT CAN HAPPEN.... WILL HAPPEN.... most Companies offer a Maintenance agreement for about 125 a year for 2 visits plus you may get a discount on repairs these are a good deal but read the fine print. as in all BUYER BEWARE there are companies out there how take advantage of the customers I want name any of them.
so feel free to PM me for advice all it will cost you is time to ask. Thanks
