    Default 250w MH question

    i just got a 250w MH for my 28g bowfront. I have it set about 8" above the tank and there is a glass top on the tank. is the setup ok? will it produce alot of heat? would it be better to take the glass top off the tank? i have alot zoos and palys, a maroon clown, a scooter blenny, and a goby i cant remember what type it is though.

    I would ditch the glass top, and also start the light up higher then slowly lower it over a few weeks. If you don't you might cook your corals.

    thanks i will ditch the top. i figured it would just hold heat in. i have a regular house fan blowing over it right now until this weekend when im going to build a setup with PC fans.
