Cheap Lamps
Was wondering if anyone has tried or is currently using the 40 watt flourecent lamps you gan get at HD or Lowes. These lamps are 65K and cost less than 10 bucks for 2. Of couese their no good for SPS but work ok with most softies. I've stoped using the VHO since it wasnt working correctly and didn't want to shell out the major bucks to replace it. Also stoped using the Metal Halides due to cost as well

I would have to go back to the old days when we would use 3 cool whites and an 03 actinic from Phiolps to light our tanks. I saw a post somewhere where some one had a mixture of eight T5HO lamps and of the eight two where 65K GE.
