There's nothing magic about t5s. They still put out a TREMENDOUS amount of heat. Just like MH, almost all of the electricty they use is turned to heat. I have them on my nano and on my 55 - and they both are way under the threshold for growing SPS and they still need fans.

Bill, I have fans on them. The issue was the hot garage and the sump in there and no additional air to adjust temp. When the A/C works, the fans on the lights and the fans over my sump...the temp NEVER goes over 80. I just made the mistake of believing the landlord...he told me they would be there in the morning...then they are on the way and so on...I will never not have a chiller hooked-up again, even if it gets to this tank being a FO.
