    looks like a crappy reflector plus your getting bulbs that you will more then likely change so add more money to that cost

    That light's part of sunlight supplies "grow" lights. Not meant for saltwater applications.

    1) There's no lens for a splash guard.
    2) With integrated ballast, that suckers going to weigh a ton, plus it'll put off double the heat above you tank.
    3) Since it's powder coated steel, they'll be rust issues down the road.
    4) Like JT said, you'll end up spending more $$$$ on replacement bulb.

    Sorry, I don't normally try to poo-poo people's ideas, but that's a bad investment, unless you're a "grower" of green leafy substances.
