    Default Allied Plastics

Took my first trip over there today. Very friendly and helpful sales office.

Also picked up a small piece of 1/4 acrylic, and they didn't even charge me since it came from their scrap bin.

BTW, got a couple of extra tubes of #16 if anyone needs some in a pinch.

It's between Rittiman and Eisenhauer on I-35. Here's a mapquest link:

Not sure on the Rio applications. It may work, but you'd need to test it first. Here's a website that lists all different weldon glues and their uses. I found it pretty helpful.

I know I've said it before about allied but since it came up....I will always go there. Ask for Michael, he is really helpful and friendly. I have been to regal plastics twice ( just to make sure the first time they were not having a bad day). Both times I was there they were jerks, couldnt get anyone to help me and they all just kept doing stuff behind the counter till I finally asked them. Regal might(not sure though) have a bigger selection of stuff at the store than Allied, but Allied can order everything from their other store.

I'll chime in on Allied too. First time I went there, they handed me a piece, no charge. Second time I bought an entire sheet - and I was happy to go there. Great folks.

I take it they would have everything i would need to build another smaller sump that what i have to grow macro algae. Any idea what they charge for 1/4 inch plexi? Do they sell the adhesive for it as well and what would their charge for cutting it to size be?

they carry 1/4" acrylic (plexiglass is a brand name). they also carry weldon, which is a solvent that causes the pieces of acrylic to bond together. what size pieces? i can probably give you a good guess of what they would charge you. they do cut to size, but if you dont take a full 4'x8' piece, it is more expensive by the sq. ft.
