    Default Madden Retiring

I have mixed feelings. He was ok in some respects but boy did he go off on some crazy tangents during some games. That was annoying as heck. What's even worse is Chris Collinsworth is replacing him...... Collinsworth is even MORE annoying than Madden!

I remember a Cowboys game back in his FOX days were he literally spent the whole second half talking about some stupid wood 'rocker block' that players used to help stretch out their leg muscles.

Madden being Madden is what made him so popular, for so long. Even when he'd drive you nuts, it was better for ratings than some boring idiot.

I've actually turned down the volume on games he was announcing because he annoyed the crap out of me. Good riddance!
I'll be able to watch my Six-Burgh Steelers without him ruining the game for me next season!

He reminds me of a muppet. You know those guys that hang out on the balcony.

    Agreed.

    I will miss John.

As far as MNF goes, I wish they would get rid of Kornheiser(sp?), he is annoying like nobody's business. Put Van Pelt in there with Tirico.

agree, he'll be missed. don't think football will every find someone else who had as much love for the game than John Madden
