I am going to go in another direction on this one, I think your water is too clean. My LPS start looking bad if my nitrates go below 2ppm. I just recently had this problem when I added a second fuge and my nitrates dropped below 1ppm. Added a piece of uncured live rock and everything is on a rebound.
