    Default Anemone problem

I just got a new anemone a few weeks ago and my maroons were hosting it... i guess a day or two ago it turned over without me noticing and it was dead today...When I pulled it out i accidentally ran it by the power jets and a lot of debris flew off of it and went all over the tank...kinda worried cuz i know ive heard a dead anemone releases toxins and all...it was kinda small about 4 inches across and it was in my 110g...should i be worried??? please someone let me know quick...

I had an anemone crawl into a powerhead and unfortunately it got diced, we were very sad. As you may imagine, there was anemone everywhere! I sucked as much as possible out with a syphon hose and did serveral water changes for the following week. Nothing else parished.

I had a BIG condy go through a powerhead. He was so shredded that I couldn't even syphon. I mean little microns everywhere. I didn't do a water change until a few days later with no ill affect on the 58 gal. But I also don't keep those finicky little SPS.

Just test your parameters. I've had an anemone die in my tank while I was out of town for two days. Didn't do anything drastic at all. Everything made it with ease.

Biggest thing is that the stingers go everywhere. I've had a few get minced, over the years. I now have guards on the Seios (thanks, Ace).
