Thread: MOFIB - captive breeding site

Default MOFIB - captive breeding site

    Hey, there!

I got to spend some time at TMAC chatting with Frank Marini after one of the sessions (really cool dude, by the way...) I mentioned that I was thinking about maybe trying some captive breeding, and he pointed me to the Marine Ornamental Fish & Invert Breeders Association (link). Goodness GRACIOUS, there's a lot of info on that site! There's a subsection on equipment, another one containing the list of fish that people are working on, and one for inverts, including corals. Since several of us at TMAC seem to have had our curiosities piqued by the possibility of raising our own critters, I thought I would spread the word.

    There goes my Monday evening...

They were at MACNA as well, they are really cool people. They had the tiniest mandarin's I've ever seen. Here are a few pics that I took:

I put a link in the original post, but the site doesn't display inline links real well. Shoulda just done the cut-and-paste like you did. Thanks for adding the pics!

Sorry, I didn't see the link in your original post!

I just couldn't believe those mandarins, they were a few grains of rice in size, amazing...

Because the internal struggles is causing a lot of layout changes and sometimes the site not working, that's why I mentioned it. I'm not sure what you're getting at...

The site in my signature means I'm a supporter of captive breeding programs, as I've been helping many people on the captive thread here on breeding and sharing my articles with breeders. I put it there because ever since my articles got published everywhere, I'm getting a lot of emails/pms from people asking me the same questions on breeding, so I added that on my signature hoping that people will get their answers there rather than emailing me. I'm not sure what it has to do with this thread...

MOFIB is pretty much History but I think that MASNA is going to be taking over not MOFIB. but starting something like it. Not to be off-topic.
