Where do have this placed in your tank? Most eveything I'm reading on the net is calling for very intense lighting. Right now, mine is in the top half of the tank with 2X250W HQI and 220W actinics.

Is it a recent addition? If so, the 250's are gonna smoke it.

No, it went through the light acclimation regimine. Started at the bottom and moved it up to where it is now over a month and half period.

Yeah, ordered it from LiveAquaria late last year. So far, it's doing ok, but I'm a little concerned off some tissue recession on the base. It'lll receed a little one week, but then it'll grow back the next.
That's why I was wondering if it may be getting a little too much light.
