awesome to hear Bill! Sucks to tear down I know, but as long as you stressed over it this is much better situation for you. Not enough nutrients to grow this time around that is great. When a plant can't grow because of lack of nutrients, Liebig's law of the minimum's says it can only be one major nutrient that is limiting it. Therefore you either have a phosphorous or nitrogen limited environment, as long as the limited element doesn't get a chance to build up you shouldn't see any growth, apparently your filtration system is on it now. Short lived plant, if you can keep it that way it should recede a bit for you too. Happy to hear it Bill, it was a gorgeous tank before that mess got you. I think I should add to the description that pennata is killed by mag, plumosa I am not sure of - if you have a positive id that it is plumosa I think we can get rid of the uncertainty.
