i just bought an acro colony and its slimming alot. will the slime kill other corals? should i blow it off with a power head or leave it?

That's pretty normal when it stress out, just leave it alone.
Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...
As with most corals, they slime up when they are agitated or releasing their waste. Corals will suffocate in thier own waste/slime if there isnt enough current to remove it. Acro's will slime up while handling them because of the oils on your hand and is attempting to remove them from its body. Use NON powdered latex gloves when handling them and you will see a reduction on the amount of slime that is released from your corals.

yeah it did look like that but the flow in my tank had it going everywhere and when i would pull it off (with out touching the coral) it just seemed to let more out. so thats what caused the worry and plus i had never had one slime that much before.. but thanks for the info, its always great to have somebody to ask.
I do the same thing when I am irritated. It makes the wallet too slippery for my wife to grab too, so it's a great defense.
