yeah, I did, I have to read it again. I could not believe that some of the method of so call "curing ich" that I read in books turn out to be myths. Not that I had a hugh problem with ich (knock on wood) but now I know. And knowing is half the battle. G.I. JOEEOOOHHHhhh

Ok I have another question (this is for u DrMark). Looking at the result for "kent" (is it safe to say). Ok I could see a person asking "what kind of brand salt are good for corals"? Or a advent user of "Kent" for there reef tank, would suggest that product to another who's looking to start a reef tank?

This of course without knowing the report.

I just got off the phone with CENTRAL PETS. Central Pets was created by CENTRAL GARDEN and PETS which bought up KENT, OCEANIC, and ENERGY SAVERS. They are the parent company to all these mentioned. Your statement is wrong. Not one of Coralifes products have ever been renamed OCEANIC. In fact, (which I already knew) ENERGY SAVERS was renamed CORALIFE. ENERGY SAVERS now CORALIFE also dealt with products related to reptiles and so they created ZILLA, a subgroup of the parent company. You edited you previous post. Oceanic and ALL GLASS do come off the same line. They do not make light fixtures so that is not done under the same building. Since AQUEON was already rolling out their own product outside of aquariums such as filters, food, decoration, and the such, they decided to incorporate ALL-GLASS and rename it AQUEON. So there is your answer.

Maybe I am reading the charts wrong, but it appears red sea did very poorly and coralife was better in terms of silica, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate being low?

I think the chart is a great reference, hte best rated give you a good starting point. After all different livestock have different needs so find which one your corals love.

Red Sea is the only natural sea salt with calcium/buffers added to work with R/O water. If there is another sorry I left them out? I used Kent for many years until they switched formulas several years ago. I use Red Sea Pro and sometimes Reef Crystals.

I understood that the Coralife chillers had been rebranded to Oceanic, and Oeceanic lights rebranded to Coralife. If I am wrong, I am wrong.
