Harmless flatworm???

I've got a galaxia that is slowly dying from one side to the other in almost a straight line (row by row) ... today I found a white or clear flatworm making his way toward the live side of the coral. I read somewhere only to worry about the red ones ... could this worm be the culprit. I've tested the parameters every day ... nothing abnormal ... still dying.

the problem with flatworms is that they reproduce rapidly and that's when the problems really start to arise. try using "flatworm exit" to help get rid of it. chances are there are more than one in your tank. also, be sure to use carbon and do a water change shortly after use.

I am apprehensive to start a chemical treatment ... are velvet nudibranchs, other natural predators a viable solution?

Here's the million dollar question. Will my damsels kill it? I have no love for the damsels ... I've just been unable to catch them to get them out .

If there is any killing going on....it would be six line killing damsels. Six lines are aggressive and even if they don't act aggressive can still hold their own.

flatworm exit is completely safe to use in any tank. the danger is the toxins that the flatworms excrete when they die. you can read more on flatworm exit on RC. i've been recommending flatworm exit since it first showed up on the market in 03. coincidently, that is also around the same time that people first started encountering flatworm problems.
