    what is the proper mix when cleaning power heads and pumps?
    two fish were in a tank, one said to the other "I'll drive you man the guns"

    100%.

    Just don't clean using muratic acid that way.

    You can also mix it with water. I do 50/50...and it works just as good as 100%, but I also run them for 24 hours in my garage sink in a bucket.

    I'm always amazed at how awesome vinegar works at refurbishing equipment. In most cases the pumps or equipment work and look as good as new afterwards.

    Even 10% works well. I like to fill a 5g bucket and run my dirty powerheads in the solution overnight.
