    Post what is this? pic

    well i had this on my live rock about 2 months and most of its gone. i would say i have 10% on two rocks. just wondering if n e one can tell what it called or how i got it. ive been using DI water changes seems to be wking. any info would be great. thanks this pic was taken two months ago.

    Looks like dying coralline algae. I had that on mine too. I get that on my equipment that has coralline on it when I remove it from the tank.

    dont know y it would be dying. everything seems to be going fine now. i started using bionic when i started the di water changes b4 i was using tap water with prime. thanks been up since nov 5 08.

    What is your CA and Alk? What lighting do you have?

    cal 350 alk 9 i was using i 65 wat 50/50 pc now i have 3 65 wats pc two of them 420 & 460 actinic and the other 1ok daylights

    yeah the drop in CA probably caused the problem. Keep your parameters in line and it will come back.

    im thing thats what did it cause i added the lr i month after setting up. about a month ago i started using bonic. what do you think i should use figi gold or just stay with bonic. do you think my parameters are good? im new to this. i hope i can get my coralline algae back.

    I think it goes through cycles. During the summer I have more coralline. During the winter it dies off to were I do not have much. My water is perfect 99% of the time too.
