good skimmer for 29 gallon biocube

Does anyone or has anyone figured out what a good skimmer for a 29 gal biocube is. I would like to take the bio balls out of the second chamber and replace them with a skimmer that actually works!!!! The one Oceanic makes is pretty much junk, IMO. Any input on if someone has done this would greatly be appreciated.

I run a Tunze 9002 in my second chamber. You have to do some plasti trimming on the inside to make it fit but it works great. Very sensitive to water level, however. The Sapphire skimmer available at nanotuners also gets goods reviews and will fit with no mods. If I had to do it all over again, I would go topless, get a 20" sunpod MH or nova extreme pro T5 a get a decent HOB skimmer like the AquaC Remora or Deltec MCE300 (supposed to be the best but expensive).

Seriously, I would bet that as long as you have a decent sandbed and rock you could probably make most of the chambers a large fuge. That accompanied with regular water changes and you should be fine. I have been skimmerless for 3 months now. My corals all look great.

The deltec is decent, but overrated IMO. I like the Tunze better personally. The Warner Marine HOB's are supposed to pretty good too.
