    Default Potter's angel

Anyone out there buy the Potter's angels that were at B&B last week? I'll be looking to get one once the new tank is fully tuned so I was looking for info regarding feeding, acclimating, any problems with nipping corals or clams, etc. Whoever picked them up, congrats, I think they are the best looking of all the dwarf angels.

I didn't get any of the ones you're referring to, but I have had my Potter's Angel for about a year and a half. 1hr drip acclimation, then hang bag in tank for 15 minutes to equalize temp, then turn lights off for a while when introducing to tank. I always feed frozen mysis, and alernate between frozen spirulina-brine, frozen mega-marine, frozen mega-marine-algae. I also feed cyclopeeze once or twice a week. He's so fat that he swims funny. Also of note, my tank is very established. When I look at the tank with a red light at night, there are thousands of little critters running around all over the rocks. This undoubtedly helps, as Potters Angels constantly scour the live rock for food.

I have never had him bother any of my softies, clams or sps. I'd bet that this would not necessarily be true of other individuals.

    Hope this helps!

Durnit, I've been waiting for one to pop up but haven't seen any. Does B&B still have any? I had one before and loved it, always been on my "must have" list for my tanks.

Definitely a beautiful fish. Everytime I consider getting one of the pretty dwarf angels I force myself to envision going through the ordeal of catching it to remove it from the tank. Because that is always a possiblility with dwarf angels. The reality check keeps me from getting one.

no more at B&B. He had three and someone bought the whole "harem." Jeremy said he could probably get some more in , however. I think I'll get one in the next few months, although consensus seems that each individual may be different as far as coral safety.
