Will my Corals be ok?
I ordered the 20 zoanthids frag pack and a mushroom from Pacificeastaquaculture.com (man they were good to me with service and prices) and I have a dilemma. They will arrive at 10:30 am tomorrow morning and I don't get home till 4:30 pm. My dad will bring them inside as he will be home, but to teach and ask my dad to acclimate them is too much for him. They will be alright inside right? The house stays in the mid 70's.
MAN I"M EXCITED! I got my first real corals at River City on Saturday (zoanthids and xenia) and can't wait to get home.
I'm also getting a Marinedepot.com order with this tomorrow:
SALIFERT MAGNESIUM TEST KIT $26.99
AQUARIUM PHARMACEUTICALS REEF MASTER TEST KIT 1 $24.99
MARINE DEPOT REFRACTOMETER 1 $39.99
ESV B-IONIC 2-PART CALCIUM BUFFER 64 OZ* 1 $17.99
ESV B-IONIC MAGNESIUM 32 FL OZ 1 $9.99
UVL 65W SUPER ACTINIC STRAIGHT PIN BULB 24.99

Sure they will, zoos are pretty tough. Just have dad put the bags in the tank until you get home... Some people ship them 'moist' inside a paper towel and use 2nd day delivery. But hey, dont balme me if they croak! lol

IMO they will be fine, but as Jim mentioned I would get the bags into the tank or sump ASAP! If you are going to float them in the tank itself I would make sure the lights stay off so you don't cook them in the bags. The sump would be better IMO. (assuming you have one)

I have metal halides and they heat the bags (it causes moisture), would this boil them alive since there stuck in there? I have a chiller running keeping the tank between 80-82 degrees.

You can have your dad put them in your Refugium if you have one.. They should be safe there.
Just a small tank...

My fuge is only like 5"x12"18" but I decided that Ill just turn on the actinic pc's and turn on the metal halides when I get home. The only thing depending on the metal halides is a clam and he can have a cloudy day. WOOT im excited

Marinedepot.com went up on their refractometer prices. That's a good model up picked, and works just as well as the $100+ models. Enjoy unpacking and setting everything up!
BTW, you probably wanted to keep the halides off anyways while you acclimate those zoanthids.
