    Default 20 dollar tank question/thread

I want to take the black plastic rims off of the 20 dollars tank I got from Steve. I am going to take it completely apart and reseal it, and I was wondering if 2 2 inch glass braces(euro style, one on each side) would be good enough to hold the thirty gallons at 12 inches? I was also thinking about not bracing it since it is such a small amount of water. Please give input.

Now I want to know what you are going to do with your 24x24x12 20 dollar tank. 30 or 40 of yall have em!!

Tentatively mine will be a macro/dwarf seahorse tank w/ 10 gallon sump for skimmer.

I have two of them, and I was planning on making them look very modern. I think you could just eurobrace the edges, and not worry about cross bracing. You could cut some triangles for the corners to better bond the bracing. I am wanting to put the tanks next to each other, and have an acrylic bridge to go from tank to tank. I am not sure if that is what will really happen though, but those are my plans.

Edit: Oh yeah, not sure how to bind the acrylic to glass, so the bracing may not work unless it's all glass....?

Ya I was lust going to get a piece plate glass and cut it for 2 strips down the sides. Definitely will be transfering some magroves w/ developed root structure to this once I it is setup. I want a standard height overflow w/ standpipe, and return coming out of it too. Might need to get an additional hole drilled for that.
