Good idea, but loud noises don't scare our cats. We spray them with water but they come right back. Good thing they have never cared for the presents though! I think I am just stuck with spoiled rotten misbehaving cats forever.

I threw the cats outside until the tree comes down, works like a charm 100% of the time. They don't like it so much but the tree is still standing and no more broken ornaments.

Yep we use a mixture of these methods with ours. No low ornaments, and a water bottle on hand. Also use the water bottle for the tanks, after a few sprays with this all I do is leave the water bottle on the ground in front of the tanks and he doesnt go near them. He will just sit and watch the fish from behind the water bottle.
    Thanks,

I had 2 adults cats & 11 kittens at one time...both Mama's had kittens a day apart...came home from work one day and ALL ornaments were off the tree - busted along the walls and most of the cats/kittens were passed out IN the tree they were so exhausted.

we use a squirt bottle.. it dosent hurt the cat and it give me target practice from across the room. and is really funny as HE(( when you get the cat. you would be surprised how fast they will not only leave the tree alone but will actually run buy it if they need to go to the other side of the house. we also dont put any ornaments on the lower branch of the
    tree... hope that helps

My little puppy likes to take all of the ornaments within his reach off, so this year the bottom part of the tree is undecorated lol
Two shih tzu and a tabby cat here. I leave the bottom of the tree undecorated too. I've found that both my dogs and cat prefer the ribbon on the presents. At least when they barf, this is what I see. Also, all the animals seem to think that the Christmas tree base is an "after hours" watering hole. I couldn't image, even for a minute, that Christmas tree water taste any good.

I love my herd regardless of the annoying nasty things they do.

Haha. I don't see how the toilet water tastes good but if we forget to leave the lid down we usually have a wet cat from her trying to take a drink and falling in.
