I could really use a few sacrificial acros just to test the waters. Id hate to go out anf buy an expensive piece just to have it die because of something in the chemistry. Appreciate the offer! When I went bare bottom I didnt cook the rock, huge mistake! Its been leeching crud for about a year now and it looks like it might be getting better so Im thinking about giving it another try.

As Indicated by Jims response.. I really wish you wouldn't do this,I love that you guys want to help. I don't want anyone with hard feelings because it looks like i'm getting preferential treatment. even with this help, this tank will only be a shell of its former self for quite some time. I will always be around, just don't want there to be hard feelings for something out of my control

i have four colonies that ironically i got from mike a while before his crash that are big enough to frag. next time you are headed this way, you are welcome to pieces.

mike - there are no hard feelings. we know you didnt and would never ask for any of this.

No hard feelings here Mike, I took the opportunity to solicit cuz Im not about to spend a bundle only to have issues on down the road. As a community, we should stick together and help each other out.

you have nothing to be concerned with, Mike. People are going to do what they are going to do......you have been around a long time and helped a lot of people.

I agree. It was my idea to begin with. I know Mike went through a huge disappointment and I know he has always been more than there for me. I just wanted to help out a friend. Also, it is was meant to be strictly voluntary.

Like Jim said, we are a big community that helps each other out. My friends here in the RGV have helped me out tremendously, and a lot of guys from san antonio too. Mike, no one wants you to leave the hobby, and the fact that everyone is offering to help in any way is proof of that. I left the hobby for a while, but I am back! I really needed to come back, having a tank relaxes me.

Trying to get back in the hobby... Will be seting up my 75g rr soon
