Thread: Car Wax

  1. #1

    Default Car Wax

So, I ran out of wax, and decided to pick up that ICE "wax". It looks and feels like baby oil. I'm not too sure about it. I just finished with the wash/clay bar/wax and it looks like I smeared my car in baby oil...

We'll see how it comes off and holds up.

So, anyone else here have a particular wax that you like?

The pros ALL use 3M products. You can buy them at many autoparts stores - just ask for them, as they are in the back.

2nd best are the products from Meguires. Unless you wax regularly (every month or less), you need to evaluate your paint first. No sense in sealing the garbage in. If you are anal and wax every month (Brian), then you can choose a wax product and stick with it.

All in one products tend to do all poorly. BTW, Zaino makes great wax products. But, with any wax product, the surface better be good first.

Hey Sean, I used the "Ice" product that you are refering to on the Wife's go-kart. It went on and came off easily, but I was far from happy with the finished product and that was on her new car after the clay bar. I promptly threw it in the trash and went back to Meguiars(sp?). The only saving grace is that car is so small it took all of about 5 minutes to wax
