    Default New tank, 58 gal

Finally got enough time to get the 58 gallon up and going and some pictures taken. Here are a couple of pics of the system getting up and going, sorry for the sand storm in the one. Just got through putting rock into the tank. Need to get more rock but wanted to get this at least up and started.

Yea, it was floating at that point until I got the water full. Working pretty good considering it doesn't really have anything to skim yet. Just two of the pieces of rock were actually still live as I wanted to make sure all the bad stuff was off the rock before putting it in. Figured I might as well try to start it off clean of algaes, aiptasia, etc.

Looking good Cliff. Just curious, how was my plumbing design on the drains, are my homemade dursos quite?

Pretty quiet actually no gurgling at all just the sound of the water going into the drains. That's the only sound from it since the pump and all is in the garage except a hummin noise coming from the pump return line. I have some spray foam I'm going to fill in the extra gaps in the holes with and see if that helps with the humming sound.

Going just softies, lps, and fish. May try some easy SPS towards top like caps or other digis and see how they do.

Nice Cliff! The 58 is my favorite size for a mid sized tanks. Great dimensions.

Killed my first coral in 1991, have tried to do better since. Always tricky.
