Are Nano Cubes Drillable On The Bottom?

I have an older 2006 model Nano Cube 24 DX that I plan on adding a chiller to. Well, I'd like to put 2 bulk heads on the bottom to plum it in, but I can't find a single source to confirm that the bottom glass is for sure "tempered". I've scoured Google for hours and found nothing really definite. I've heard of people drilling the back but I'd rather not have plumbing sticking out since IMO it would be an eyesore on such a small tank. Anyhow, I just might be crazy enough to go ahead and drill the bottom anyway as it is an older tank and I have stripped everything off the top to put a 20" 150 Watt Sunpod on it. If it shatters it will be a minor set back as I also have a Aquapod 24 collecting dust. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen people successfully do it, but I have also seen many people break tanks. So, hit or miss Id say...

Plus, it's gonna be inside the overflow area. I'd suspect that there would be less downward pressure in the, right?

I do see a lot of drilled backs, but to my best recollection, I seem to have seen a few drilled bottoms on nano-reef.com

I've never seen a bottom drilled nano, however, I see no reason why it can't be done.

If it's Tempered Glass, then "It Can't Be Done"...

If you try to drill through "Tempered Glass" this is what will happen. That is why I am asking this specific question.

Short Answer: YES, You Can Drill A Hole or Two on the Bottom of a Nano Cube 24 DX. Pictures will come later when I get off my lazy bum.
