Weird
Two days ago I had red/purple slime algae or cyano in my overflow box, all along the refugium walls and on top of the cheato and caulerpa in the fuge. As of an hour ago....its all gone. There must have been a serious shift in organics or something. I'm not complaining, just thought it was strange.

Must be Algae Fairy, this only happens to the lucky one...lol
Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...

I just realized what I did during that two day period. I increased the alkalinity from 8 dkh to 10 and the calcium from 380 to 450. Totally slipped my mind. Did the alkalinity kill off or create unsuitable conditions for the cyano?
