What kind of clam are you keeping? Ive never heard of other people having to run their lights that long. I was wanting to get a few clams for my 90G, but if that is the case I will not be buying any clams! Anyway are you running any phosban or phosphate removers? You could try that also. Good Luck, Im sure you will get it figured out.

Nope, not yet anyway. How long does the phosban reactor media last? I need it to be economical.

Yeah same tank. I put a sunpod on it though. And it looks great! Also added a few things, and I have way too many clowns, two Picasso clowns, one naked clown, and two false percula's, so I need to cut down. Got to mention my leopard wrasse orange spot goby, and fire fish. Its top many fish. I lost track, and now I need to make space, I only have a 30h! Ha you need to come check it out, and take some of my clowns

If I can rid myself of my current Tomato I will gladly buy up your pair of clowns. The frag setup died and may be for sale if I can pass it buy my dad.

    Default Reborn!

Update after what seems to be forever. I went on vacation over Christmas and came home to utter and complete DESTRUCTION! My tank looked like a UPS box when I entered the room. After calming myself and not killing the pet sitter I thought about what to do and how this happened. Closer inspection of a brand new container of food half full in 8 days (with two fish) told it all. Heres were the fun started. I had bryopsis and diatoms everywhere so I had 1 option.

I took out and manually scrubbed every piece of rock with a thick bristle brush for 2-3 minutes. Then I scraped the glass and polished the back wall of all algae and siphoned most I could. I used a water pump with a tube to stir everything that had settled and the sand or that had been buried and netted and siphoned it out. I used a Maxijet with a fish net covering to take out all the sand that had leaked into the back chambers that was accumulating detrious. I had flow problems that were returning too much too fast flooding the tank and emptying the reservoir, so I swapped the Finnex pump with a Maxijet, loosing flow but fixing the problem. Them I let the sand settle, added Purigen and Chemi-Pure Elite to a Filter bag by swapping the bag with the sponge so it could trickle over it. I let the rock swirl in a dark thrash can for 4 days, scrubbed the rock again then added it to the tank again. To clean up what I missed I added a Sea Hare (which is now for sale) which torn the leftovers apart, added filter floss, and now I am where I am. My only regret is that I didn't take before pictures to see how much work I really did. All in all it took 20 hours and lots of cleaning. Here is the result:

    My current livestock list is:

    Firefish Goby
    Tomato Clownfish
    Falco Hawkfish
Tons of reefcleaner (thanks to John)
    Derasa Clam
    Green Ricordea Yuma
    Sea Hare

Some of these are 65w actinic pc's only some are 250w 14K metal halides

For some reason my file fail to load? Can't you load picture on here from a camera or do they have to be hosted?

Props for the setup and dedication!

I'm also considering an m-tank as my comeback tank. I'm a nano lover at heart.

If I remember correctly you have two options for pictures: 1. you can host your pictures elsewhere and use bbcode to "show" them or 2. you can upload them to MAAST (limited size) in the current post. I could be wrong but I believe this to be true.
