I love sand sifting gobies of all types. I have never had a problem with any of them becoming a nuisance by blowing too much sand on my corals.
I also do not have any nice corals on the sand though. The only corals I have on the sand are various paly colonies and green star polyps...basically all of the aggressive growers that need to be on islands 
I think that their job duty is of much more value than to not have one. Coupled with nassarius snails they do a great job keeping the sand clean.
