anyone know what this thing is. i got like 5 in the tank and i thought it was aptaisia (sp?), but now i don't know. anyone got any ideas let me know, so i can start pulling it out. it is kinda big, been letting it grow for about 3 weeks to see what it turned into...

lemon juice injected with a syringe has worked for me quite well. I have also tried AptasiaX, it comes out of the syringe as very heavy drops that dont dissipate, drops straight down and kills aptasia really really well. You dont even have to touch the aptasia. when using the lemon juice, I actually stabbed the aptasia so the juice wouldnt go anywhere else. I dont know if just getting the juice near the aptasia will work.

heat some water for a minute or so in the microwave. Use a baby medication syringe and cram it into the aptasia, release the hot water, and suck the aptasia up into the syringe. It takes two hands sometimes. Then get a few peppermint shrimp, and leave them for maintainence.

Maybe it is that rare carpet aptasia that was on eBay a few years back...
