Im really sick of this drama. If this thread continues on a personal level, I will delete it in its entirety. And, I would ask you, Mike, to please edit your post to remove any members names. This is no place to resolve conflict that only a handfull of people actualy know details and theres no reason to broadcast this conversation to the whole community. Personaly, its a waste of my time.

Since Mike has taken this to a public forum, again, I feel I must shed some light on this situation. I have been a BOD a short time and have not met or spoken with Mike. I have and didn't have any agenda against him. The situation stemmed from a highly offensive post by Mike that was removed at the request of many people. This is a family site and this was no place for remarks of that nature. I won't repeat them now. There had been other inflammatory and combative posts in the past that were ignored, this one couldn't be. Other forums would have permanently banned a member for this type of thing. Because of Mike's duration here and many positive influences on the site, some lattitude was warranted. This situation went beyond that, believe me. The entire board voted twice on this matter and spent ALOT of time debating on what to do. An initial vote was made with a majority (7 to 3) voting to temporarily ban Mike, this was not implemented. After much more discussion, a second vote was done (10 to 0) to provide Mike with a formal warning. This was done.
If it were known by everyone the nature of the post in question, everyone would agree the right course of events were followed. No one on the BOD or the moderators is out to get anyone. This is a family site and certain etiquette needs to be followed just with any forums site. The moderators and BOD's are there to make sure this is the case. If anyone has comments or problems with this please pm me. At this point, I will close this thread.
