    Default Power center...

    Just wanted to share...

I've seen other reefers use power centers and this is what I recently found and used:

I had to search google term "dj power center". Go figure.

Maybe others would like to share the products they used to build their "reef power center".

    I bought two of these:

very nice, the problem I run into is that I have three seperate timers that take up 2 outlets because of their size so Id have to have probably 3 of those. I do love the clean look the provide.

I've been using a Belkin power center for a computer to run my pumps, heater and skimmer. I works rather well, but I like the look and specs of those DJ power centers.

Do you hook the power center up to a timer for lights or is this something different. There is a coralife ouwer center and dual timer that I have been loking at. Anyone use one of these.

I run my lights on seperate power strips mounted in my stand. I only hook up equipment that I need to turn on and off either daily, weekly or monthly for maintenance.

I don't mess with my lights much so they aren't hooked up to the power centers.

I have in the past and it worked for awhile. Mine was the analog version and the timer got stuck one day. Then it was pretty much useless.........

I run everything to the American DJ power bars. I have 2 of them. All the DC8s and misc power plugs run to them.

I still need to do some (alot) cable organization but everything runs to this cabinet. The Aquacontroller units are mounted in the top section, chiller below (vented for heat), and top-off reservoir in the bottom. The cabinet was purchased at Home Depot, oak floor vents (8) from eBay. One day it may even get finished
